Delete your Fisch companion data
There is no account to delete
The Fisch companion app has no sign-up, no login and no password. We run no user database, so there is no profile, name or email address of yours sitting on a server of ours waiting to be erased.
Everything the app saves is stored privately on your own device. That means deleting it is something you do directly, from your phone, and it takes effect the moment you do it — no request, no queue, no waiting. The steps below show you exactly how, and how to deal with the small amount of data held by our advertising and purchase partners.
This cannot be undone
Clearing the app's data permanently removes the following from your device:
- Your favourites and saved items
- Your settings and preferences — theme, sort order, units and similar choices
- Calculator inputs and anything you typed into the app
- The cached copy of values, guides and timers the app keeps so it works offline
- The local record that you removed ads — you can bring this back with Restore Purchases, as long as you use the same store account
Cancel subscriptions first. If you bought a recurring in-app product, deleting the app does not cancel it — billing continues until you cancel it in the App Store or Google Play. See Purchases and subscriptions below.
Option 1 — On Android
Android- Open Settings, then Apps (on some phones, Apps & notifications → See all apps).
- Find and tap Fisch Companion in the list.
- Tap Storage & cache, then Clear storage (labelled Clear data on some devices) and confirm. At this point every saved preference, favourite and cached value is erased. The app is back to how it was on first install.
- Go back one screen and tap Uninstall to remove the app itself. You can also press and hold the app icon on your Home screen or in the app drawer, then drag it to Uninstall.
Option 2 — On iPhone or iPad
iOS & iPadOS- Touch and hold the Fisch Companion icon on your Home Screen or in the App Library.
- Tap Remove App, then Delete App, then Delete to confirm.Deleting the app removes its entire sandboxed container — settings, favourites and cache go with it.
- Alternatively, go to Settings → General → iPhone Storage → Fisch Companion and choose Delete App.Choose Delete App, not Offload App. Offloading removes the app but deliberately keeps its documents and data so they return if you reinstall.
- If iCloud Backup is switched on, a copy of the app's data may remain inside an existing backup until it is replaced.Review your backups under Settings → [your name] → iCloud → Manage Account Storage → Backups. Those backups are controlled by you and by Apple — we have no access to them.
Option 3 — Reset the one identifier that leaves your device
Uninstalling clears your phone, but ads shown while you used the app were requested using your device's advertising identifier. That identifier belongs to your operating system, not to us — we never store it, and only Google's ad systems receive it. Resetting or deleting it breaks the link between your device and any advertising profile built against it:
- Android — Settings → Privacy → Ads, then Delete advertising ID (or Reset advertising ID). Deleting it stops apps from receiving the ID at all.
- iOS — Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking. Switch off Allow Apps to Request to Track, or turn off Fisch Companion individually. With tracking off, the app never accesses your IDFA.
- At Google — you can review and delete advertising activity in your Google account at My Ad Center and My Activity.
Purchases and subscriptions
If you bought ad removal or any other in-app product, three things are worth knowing:
- Cancel the subscription in your store, not in the app. Removing the app never cancels billing.iOS: Settings → [your name] → Subscriptions. Android: Play Store → your profile picture → Payments & subscriptions → Subscriptions.
- Your purchase record is anonymous. Apple or Google is the seller and holds the receipt. Our purchase-management provider, RevenueCat, holds a record keyed to a randomly generated identifier — it carries no name, no email and nothing that identifies you.See section 5 of the Fisch privacy policy for exactly what that record contains.
- We can ask for that record to be deleted if you want it gone — email us using the button below and say so.Be aware this removes your ability to restore the purchase on a new device. Apple and Google keep their own receipts for refund, tax and accounting purposes regardless; that part is outside our control and outside theirs too.
Option 4 — Ask us to handle it
If you would rather we act on your behalf — to pass a deletion request to Google or RevenueCat, or because something above did not work — write to us and we will take it from there:
- Send it to [email protected] with the subject "Delete my Fisch companion data".
- Tell us your platform, and whether you also want the anonymous purchase record deleted.
- There is no account for us to look up, so please never send us a password — and never send your Roblox login to us or to any other companion app. We have no use for it and will never ask.
- We respond and complete requests within 30 days, and usually far sooner. There is no charge.
What is deleted, and what we cannot reach
Gone the moment you clear or uninstall the app
- Favourites, saved items and calculator inputs
- Settings, preferences and the local ad-removal flag
- The cached copy of values, guides and timers
- Everything else in the app's private storage on your device
Held by someone else — we pass your request along
- Advertising data at Google, retained under Google's own policies. Reset your advertising ID as described above, or use Google's My Ad Center.
- The anonymous purchase record at RevenueCat, and the receipt held by Apple or Google as the seller of record.
- Any support email you have sent us — tell us and we will delete the correspondence.
We cannot delete data we never had. Because the app keeps everything on your device and we operate no user database, there is no copy of your favourites, settings or history anywhere in our systems — which is also why we cannot restore them for you afterwards.
Frequently asked questions
Does this delete my Roblox account or my progress in Fisch?
No — and nothing here can. This is an unofficial, fan-made guide app. It never connects to your Roblox account, never asks for your Roblox login and has never had any access to it. Your Roblox account, your in-game items and everything you have caught or earned in the Fisch experience are controlled entirely by Roblox Corporation. Deleting this app has no effect on any of it. If you want to delete a Roblox account itself, you must do that through Roblox's own support.
How long does deletion take?
On your device it is immediate — clearing the app's storage or deleting the app removes everything at once. Where we have to pass a request to Google or RevenueCat on your behalf, we act within 30 days and normally much sooner, and we will email you when it is done.
Can I recover my favourites after deleting?
No. Your favourites and settings live only on your device and are never uploaded to us, so there is no backup on our side to restore from. A paid ad-removal purchase is different — tap Restore Purchases in the app while signed in to the same App Store or Google Play account, and it will come back, unless you have asked us to delete the purchase record.
What happens to my active subscription?
Nothing, unless you cancel it. Subscriptions are managed by Apple or Google, not by us, and deleting the app does not stop billing. Cancel through Settings → [your name] → Subscriptions on iOS, or Play Store → Payments & subscriptions → Subscriptions on Android, before you remove the app.
Do you keep anything about me on a server?
No user database, no profile, no account. When the app fetches its values and guides, your device's IP address reaches the server delivering that content, as it does with any internet request — we use it only to serve the content and keep the service running securely, never to build a profile or to link anything back to you. The full detail is in the Fisch privacy policy.
I deleted the app but still see ads in other apps. Why?
Those ads come from whichever apps you are using now, not from this one. Advertising identifiers are shared across all the apps on your device, so resetting or deleting the identifier — Settings → Privacy → Ads on Android, Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking on iOS — is what affects ads generally.
