Privacy Policy
This policy covers the Fisch companion app for iOS and Android. It is separate from, and additional to, the general site privacy policy at thesolanalabs.com/privacy-policy/. Where the two differ for this app, this policy applies.
Not affiliated with Roblox
This is an unofficial, fan-made companion app. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, sponsored by or associated with Roblox Corporation or with the creators of the Fisch experience. "Roblox" and "Fisch" are the property of their respective owners, and are used here only to describe what the app is a guide for. The app never asks for your Roblox username, password or account details, and you should never give them to any companion app.
The short version: we do not ask you to create an account and we do not collect your name or email. The app shows ads through Google AdMob, and handles purchases through RevenueCat and your app store — those are the only parties that receive anything, and what they receive is described below.
1. Who we are
The Fisch companion app is published by THE SOLANA LABS (PRIVATE) LIMITED (CUIN 0347376), a company incorporated in Pakistan.
- Registered office: Minhaj Chowk, Saghar, Talagang 48150, Pakistan
- Office: Street No 7, Shah Khalid Colony, Rawalpindi 46200, Pakistan
Email: [email protected]
For the purposes of the UK GDPR and EU GDPR, that entity is the data controller for the processing described in this policy.
2. What we do not do
- No user accounts. There is nothing to sign up for, and no password.
- We never ask for your Roblox login, or for any game account credentials.
- We do not ask for your name, email address, phone number or date of birth.
- We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioural advertising as those terms are defined under the California Consumer Privacy Act.
- We operate no user database. We have no server that stores anything about you.
3. What the app stores on your device
The app keeps what it needs locally, in its own private storage on your phone:
- Your settings and preferences — theme, sort order, units and similar choices.
- Your favourites, saved items and any calculator inputs you enter.
- A cached copy of the values, guides and timers the app displays, so it opens quickly and works when you are offline.
- A flag recording whether you have made a purchase (for example, to remove ads).
This data stays on your device. It is included in your device backups if you have them switched on — those backups are controlled by you and by Apple or Google, not by us. Uninstalling the app removes all of it.
4. Advertising
The app is free and is supported by advertising. Ads are served by Google AdMob, a Google service. We do not run our own ad network and we do not build advertising profiles ourselves.
4.1 What AdMob receives
To serve and measure ads, Google's Mobile Ads SDK collects information from your device, which typically includes:
| What | Why |
|---|---|
| Advertising identifier — the Android Advertising ID (AAID), or on iOS the Identifier for Advertisers (IDFA) only if you allow it | To select ads, cap how often you see the same ad, and measure clicks |
| Device and app information — device model, operating system version, language, app version | To deliver an ad that fits and works on your device |
| Coarse location, derived from your IP address | To serve region-appropriate ads and meet local legal requirements. The app does not request GPS or precise location permission |
| Ad interaction data — impressions, clicks | Fraud prevention and reporting |
Google acts as an independent controller for this data. Its handling is governed by the Google Privacy Policy and by How Google uses information from sites or apps that use our services.
4.2 Personalised vs non-personalised ads, and your consent
In the EEA, the UK and Switzerland, the app shows a Google-certified consent prompt the first time it runs. You choose whether ads may be personalised. If you decline, you still see ads, but they are non-personalised — selected from general context rather than from an advertising profile. You can change that choice at any time from the app's settings screen.
On iOS, personalised advertising also requires your permission through Apple's App Tracking Transparency prompt. If you choose Ask App Not to Track, the app does not access the IDFA and ads are served on a non-personalised basis.
4.3 How to opt out or reset
- Android: Settings → Privacy → Ads, where you can reset or delete your advertising ID.
- iOS: Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking, where you can turn off tracking for this app or all apps.
- Remove ads entirely by making the in-app purchase described in section 5.
5. Purchases
The app offers optional in-app purchases. All payments are processed by Apple (App Store) or Google (Google Play). We never see or receive your card details, billing address, or store account credentials.
To check whether a purchase is active and to restore it on your other devices, we use RevenueCat, Inc., a subscription and purchase management provider. RevenueCat receives a randomly generated, anonymous app user identifier together with purchase and receipt information from Apple or Google — such as which product was bought, when it renews, and the country of your store account.
We do not send RevenueCat your name, your email address, or any custom identifier that could identify you, and this data is not used for advertising or tracking. See the RevenueCat Privacy Policy.
6. Game data shown in the app
The values, guides, timers and other reference information in the app are compiled by us and delivered as content. Requesting that content sends your device's IP address to the server delivering it, as any internet request does. We use this only to deliver the content and to keep the service running securely; we do not use it to build a profile of you, and we do not link it to your purchases or your advertising identifier.
7. Children's privacy
This app is not directed at children under 13 (or under 16 in the European Economic Area, where local law sets that age). It is intended for a general audience of players who want reference information about a game.
We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you are a parent or guardian and believe a child has provided personal information to us, contact [email protected] and we will delete it promptly.
Because the app is not directed at children, advertising is not configured for child-directed treatment. If you would prefer your child not to see advertising at all, the ad-removal purchase in section 5 disables ads entirely.
8. Legal bases for processing (UK/EU GDPR)
- Personalised advertising — your consent, given through the consent prompt described in section 4.2, and withdrawable at any time.
- Non-personalised advertising, and fraud prevention — our legitimate interest in funding a free app and preventing ad fraud.
- Purchases — performance of a contract (giving you what you paid for) and our legitimate interest in preventing fraudulent entitlements.
- Delivering app content — our legitimate interest in operating the service you asked for.
- Support email — your consent, given by choosing to write to us.
9. Retention
- On-device data — kept until you clear it in the app or uninstall the app. We cannot reach it, so we cannot delete it for you.
- Advertising data — retained by Google under its own policies and retention schedules.
- Purchase records — retained by RevenueCat, Apple and Google for as long as needed to manage entitlements and to meet tax and accounting obligations.
- Support email — kept only as long as needed to resolve your question.
10. Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, delete, port or restrict processing of your personal data, to object to processing, to withdraw consent, and to lodge a complaint with your data protection authority. Residents of California have rights of access, deletion, correction and portability, and the right not to be discriminated against for exercising them.
In practice: your app data is on your device and is removed entirely when you uninstall. To exercise a right against data held by Google or RevenueCat, we will pass your request to them — write to [email protected]. We do not charge for these requests and will respond within 30 days, or sooner where the law requires it.
11. International transfers
The publisher is established in Pakistan. Google LLC and RevenueCat, Inc. are established in the United States. None of these is covered by a UK or EU adequacy decision.
Where personal data is transferred out of the UK or EEA, that transfer relies on the safeguards offered by the receiving processor, including Standard Contractual Clauses where applicable. The only personal data that reaches us directly is the content of an email you choose to send us.
12. Security
Data stored by the app sits inside its sandboxed container on your device, protected by the operating system and your device passcode. Network requests the app makes use HTTPS. Because we hold no user database, there is no account of yours with us that can be breached.
13. Changes to this policy
If this policy changes materially, we will update the date at the top and note the change in the app's release notes. Continuing to use the app after a change means you accept the updated policy.
